Terms of Service

By accessing or using ModeratorX ("the Service"), operated by ModeratorX ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

ModeratorX is an AI-powered social media comment moderation platform that allows you to:

• Connect social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, Twitter/X, LinkedIn)
• Automatically moderate incoming comments using AI models
• Configure brand-specific moderation guidelines
• View analytics, reports, and moderation history
• Manually review and take action on flagged content

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.1 Plans & Payment

• The Service offers free and paid subscription plans
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
• Prices are as listed on our pricing page at the time of purchase
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise

4.2 Free Trial & Credits

• New accounts may receive a limited number of free moderation credits
• Free credits are non-transferable and may expire
• Once free credits are exhausted, a paid subscription or your own API key (BYOA) is required for continued moderation

4.3 Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing page or Stripe customer portal
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods
• Free plan users may delete their account at any time

ModeratorX supports a Bring Your Own API Key model for AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).

• You are solely responsible for your API key usage, costs, and compliance with the provider's terms of service
• Your API keys are encrypted at rest and never shared with other users
• We are not liable for charges incurred on your API provider account
• You may revoke or change your API key at any time through your dashboard
• If you do not provide a key and have no free credits, moderation will be paused until a key is provided or a subscription is active

• By connecting a social media account, you authorize ModeratorX to access and moderate comments on your behalf
• You represent that you have the authority to connect and moderate the accounts you link
• ModeratorX will only take moderation actions (hide, show, delete) as configured in your settings
• You may disconnect any platform at any time through your dashboard
• You are responsible for complying with each platform's terms of service and developer policies
• We are not responsible for changes to platform APIs that may temporarily affect service functionality

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to send spam, bulk messages, or automated content
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
• Use the Service to moderate content in a way that violates platform policies or applicable laws

• AI moderation decisions are automated and may not always be accurate
• You are ultimately responsible for the moderation actions taken on your social media accounts
• We recommend regularly reviewing flagged and moderated content
• ModeratorX provides tools for manual override of any AI decision
• We do not guarantee specific accuracy rates, response times, or outcomes
• AI model performance may vary based on language, context, and content type

• The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by ModeratorX and protected by intellectual property laws
• You retain ownership of your content (social media data, guidelines, brand information)
• You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service
• We do not claim ownership of your social media content or moderation guidelines
• We do not use your content to train AI models

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control
• We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions
• Third-party platform outages (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) are beyond our control and may affect moderation functionality

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for actions taken by AI models on your behalf, or for the consequences of hiding, showing, or deleting comments
• We are not liable for unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to protect your credentials

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ModeratorX, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including platform terms of service
• Content moderated through your account

• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
• We may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent or abusive activity
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it may be permanently deleted
• You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unsuccessful, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
